Milestone 4: Assessing behavioral response of the adult weevil to host plant volatiles (K10007). We constructed 8 four station y-tubes for the behavioral response study. Materials were locally purchased and construction is ongoing. Once we complete building the y-tubes we will carry out the test and galip samples collected will be sent to Prof John Kola Laboratory for chemical analysis of the 4 main galip tree provenances during the last quarter. In the first part of the last quarter galip provenances will be identified and samples will be collected. |
